Only Lakewood Grove residents and their guests are allowed to use the pool. Residents must accompany their guests. Parents are responsible for their children and guests in the pool area.
Lifeguards are employed to ensure the safety of swimmers. They have the authority to remove from the pool area anyone disobeying the rules or endangering the safety of himself/herself or others. The lifeguard has the authority to suspend the offender for one day. Additional violations will be turned over to the pool committee. Repeat violations may result in revocation of swim privileges for the remainder of the summer. Lifeguards have ultimate authority. Three loud, short whistle blasts mean to clear the pool.
No swimming will be allowed during thunderstorms, inclement weather or anytime deemed unsafe by attending lifeguard and/or operations manager. Pool will be cleared until twenty minutes past the last sound of thunder.
No running, rough housing, or dunking allowed.
No breakable containers or alcoholic beverages allowed in pool area.
No loud music in pool area.
No balls, frisbees or similar type toys are allowed.
No pets in the pool area.
No diving is allowed.
Flotation items for swimming pools are allowed, but restricted to small sized tubes or floaties.
Loud, abusive or foul language will not be tolerated.
Only non-swimming children four years of age or under may use the baby pool. Parents are responsible for the safety and supervision of their children in the baby pool. Please use cloth diapers or swim diapers only. Disposable diapers are not permitted.
During the hourly ten minute rest period, all children are to be totally out of the water.
Any child ten years or under must be accompanied by said child’s parent or person sixteen years or older.
Any child between the ages of ten to twelve may enter the pool area unaccompanied by an adult if said child has passed the swim test. Lifeguard will administer the test.
Anyone caught swimming after hours or vandalizing community areas will be suspended for the remainder of the summer and have trespassing charges filed against him/her.
Violators of pool rules will be asked to conform or leave the area. Repeated rules violations will result in suspension of pool privileges.
Parties are to be held before or after hours and must comply with the following:
- Hours available for private parties: after 5:00 p.m. on Monday and after 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday through Sunday.
- Must call pool company to notify of upcoming event
- Must give two-week advance notice
- Must cancel 24 hours in advance or 1 hour due to bad weather
- Must rent for a two hour minimum
- Must hire a lifeguard from the pool company: one guard for every 20 persons with a minimum of two guards at a charge of $15 per hour per guard in cash
- Pay $35 non refundable administration fee paid to the pool management company
- No parties after midnight
